세계 순위 301-400위권

경북대가 상해교통대학 고등교육원이 발표한 ‘2021년 세계대학 학술순위(ARWU, Academic Ranking of World Universities 2021)’에서 국내 대학 공동 7위에 이름을 올렸다. 세계 순위는 301-400위권으로 지난해와 같은 순위권을 유지했다.

이번 순위에서 400위 안에 들어간 국내 대학은 경북대를 포함해 8개이다. 101-150위권에 서울대, 201-300위권에 성균관대, 고려대, 카이스트, 한양대, 연세대, 301-400위권에 경북대와 UNIST가 있다.

상해교통대학 세계대학 학술순위는 △졸업생 중 노벨상, 필즈상 수상자 수(10%) △교원 중 노벨상, 필즈상 수상자 수(20%) △인용횟수 상위 연구자 수(20%) △네이처, 사이언스 게재 논문 수(20%) △과학인용색인(SCIE), 사회과학인용색인(SSCI)에 게재된 논문 수(20%) △개인당 학문적 성취도(10%) 등 정량 지표로 순위를 매기고 있다.

세부 분야별 순위에서 경북대는 기계과학 분야에서 세계 51-75위권, 치의학 분야에서 세계 101-150위권, 금속공학, 수의학 분야에서 세계 151-200위권에 들었다.

Kyungpook National University Jointly Ranked 7th in the Nation in 2021 Shanghai Jiao Tong University Evaluations

Kyungpook National University was jointly ranked 7th among Korean universities in ‘2021 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU)’ published by Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Shanghai Ranking Consultancy. In the world, KNU maintained its rank within 301-400 this year following the year previous.

This year, 8 Korean universities, including KNU, ranked within the top 400 universities in the world: Seoul National University ranked 101-150; Sungkyunkwan University, Korea University, KAIST, Hanyang University, Yonsei University ranked 201-300; and KNU and UNIST ranked 301-400.

ARWU by Shanghai Jiao Tong University uses six indicators: △Alumni of an institution winning Nobel Prizes and Fields Medals (10%), △Staff of an institution winning Nobel Prizes and Fields Medals (20%), △Faculty selected as Highly Cited Researchers by Clarivate Analytics (20%), △Papers published in Nature and Science (20%), △Papers indexed in SCIE and SSCI, and △Per capita academic performance of an institution (10%).

In 2021 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, KNU ranked 51-75 in Mechanical Engineering, 101-150 in Dentistry and Oral Sciences, and 151-200 in Metallurgical Engineering and Veterinary Medicine.
